Charlotte’s Web

Screen Shot 2016-07-21 at 9.46.19 AMCharlotte’s Web is the lovely friendship story between a gray spider and a pig. When little Fern Arable discovers that one of her uncle’s pigs has babies, she is very happy and excited. But her excitement soon fades away, when she discovers that the sow doesn’t have enough milk to feed all of her babies and that one will starve. The one who loses the race towards the milk is an unusually small pig. Fern’s dad, who was assisting the birth of the piglets, decides to kill it. But Fern offers to raise the smallest pig that she names Wilbur. Wilbur then goes to live at Fern’s uncle’s farm, right across the street. In the barn, Wilbur makes some unforgettable friends, including Charlotte, an amazing and inspiring spider, who will magically save him from being eaten at Christmas by the family! Even though Wilbur does not approve of Charlotte’s bloodthirsty manners, he discovers in her a great and wise friend. This book explains the unbelievable power of friendship and I strongly recommend it!
