Demon dentist is the story of Alfie, a little boy with rotten teeth who hates going to the dentist. He lives with his extremely sick father and is awfully poor. One day, a new dentist came to town. Her name was Miss Root. She first met Alfie at his school. She had come to explain to all the children how to take proper care of their teeth… A little later, Winnie, a social worker came to help out Alfie and his dad. To help them, she makes a dental appointment for Alfie with miss Root. When Alfie’s appointment day arrives, he discovers that she is not the plain and charming dentist she pretended to be… He and Gabz (his friend) discover who she really is and what are her mischievous plans…
Despite the fact that the first page states “Beware, this is a horror story. With quite a lot of made-up words.”, it is not scary at all, but rather very very funny! I found this book an entertaining light book, definitely worth the read!
