The black stallion is a novel that narrates the exciting story of Alec, a young New Yorker, and a beautiful black Stallion. Right after the end of World War II, Alec Ramsey, who is 10 years old is traveling with his father on a ship where he meets a black Arabian stallion. He befriends the horse, but the ship is struck by lightning and the ship goes down with everyone on board. The only survivors are Alec and the stallion on a remote island. After their rescue, the Black Stallion will become one of the fastest race horses, with the help of a horse trainer.
This series is very rich in emotions as we live the ups and downs of a riding champion. It is a must-read for all children who love horses (like myself…)
