The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants is a very interesting book that I recently read about four friends and, well, a pair of magical jeans. This adventure started during the first summer in which the four girls are going to be separated. The group of friends, Briget (the sporty one), Lena (the beautiful one), Carmen (the generous friend but the mean stepsister), and Tibby (the one who will have the most memorable summer–in a good and bad way). Just before the summer started, these four friends make an unbelievable discovery at a second hand clothes shop: a magical pair of pants that fits each and one of the four friends perfectly, no matter how different their builds… When they all go to their different summer destinations (Lena in Greece to visit her grandparents, Carmen in Los Angeles to spend time with her father, Bridget in Mexico to play competitive soccer and Tibby at home, working in a pharmacy…), they decide they will share this pair of pants with each other, so they will always be reminded of their closest friends, no matter how far they are… They all live, in their own way, unbelievable and unforgettable experiences! They constantly write to each other over the summer, sharing their experiences and sending each other the pants, that will help each girl fix all her mistakes and solve their problems!
This was a great book, dealing with issues of friendship, romance and family. It was a true page-turner! There is a popular movie that was made based on the book, but unfortunately parts of the story were changed… I really recommend this book!
