This series talks about the life of Gregory (Greg) Heffley. He is a very lazy teenager that goes to middle school. He LOVES video games and is not active enough. His other passion is sleeping (which I personnaly find very boring). His best friend is Rowley Jefferson, a boy his age that acts like if he was 3 years old. The books are made as if Greg was writing his journal. This wimpy hero has two brothers: Rodrick, his older brother and Manny, his younger one. Both his parents clearly prefer Manny. I like this series because Greg is always very honest about his (not always very clever) impressions. His very familiar language, his humorous impressions and everyday situations often made me laugh. It is recommended light reading!
This teenager also illustrates his diary with black and white drawings, that are also very funny!
